El Palmero, a beautiful villa, comparable to a small chateau, can be found in deep but sophisticated countryside approximately 5 kilometers from the white village of Gaucin.  The grounds are immaculate and the furnishings exquisite.  A warm, friendly, elegant and spacious house with an outdoor and indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

Driving along the well maintained private track taking you to the villa you will pass by fine horses and healthy cattle. Entering the main courtyard you will be suitably impressed by the far reaching views to the south.  All the interiors are spectacular and the surrounding gardens are immaculately maintained.  An extremely generous outdoor pool with adjoining bar, an indoor pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna are just some of the things here that you will need to indulge yourself for a week or two.  This grand villa is without doubt an exceptional hideaway.

Living Area

The living area is centrally located in the house with sumptuous furnishings, high ceilings and exposed wooden beams.  There is a wood burning stove for the colder months and grand art hanging on the walls.  From the impressive doors you have splendid views across the elegant pool area to the rich landscape beyond.  This room is perfect.  There is also a separate library/television room/ snug:  the ideal bolt hole with plenty of entertainment including 50” television with satellite TV, DVD, Xbox and a selection of DVD’s and CD’s for you to settle down and enjoy.  There is also high speed internet access if you like to stay in touch with life outside.

Kitchen / Dining

The dining room is a few steps up from the living room and the kitchen beyond.  The kitchen is designed with a modern sophistication with top of the range appliances.  There is a 5 ring hob, Lacanche stove, double oven, microwave/oven, fridge freezer with ice maker and all the necessary cooking appliances and utensils.  There is also a herb garden, please feel free to use these and spice up your dishes.

Bedrooms

There are 4 bedrooms. Each has its own unique ensuite bathroom.
The Master bedroom, with fabulous views, is on two levels with a king sized four poster bed and an open fireplace and wall mounted TV.   We like to call it the honeymoon suite.  The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath and walk in shower.
Two further bedrooms – one double and one twin – are interlinked and each has their own bathroom.  This could be an advantage if you have young children and need to keep them close to you at night.
The fourth bedroom is a double and has its own terrace and lovely bathroom.
All rooms have fans and mosquito blinds.  The whole house has an air cooling/heating system to keep you at a comfortable temperature throughout your stay.

Outside

This gorgeous, south facing house sits in 24 acres of completely fenced faultless landscape.  The main gardens are beautifully manicured and planted with a variety of shrubs and cascading rosemary and thyme.  All this alongside herb and vegetable gardens.

The courtyard entrance has parking for 10 cars and garage facilities for 3 cars.  On the opposite side of this courtyard to the main house there is a self contained staff cottage.  The staff are very discreet and are there to help you if and when needed.  Perhaps you might need a baby sitter or help with meals and shopping.

The outdoor pool area, accessed through the elegant living room doors, has a glazed covered dining area.  Alongside this and protruding right out into the pool is a perfectly furnished gazebo.  A wonderful place for an afternoon siesta close to the crystal clear pool water.  The pool itself is 10 metres long by 5.6 metres wide and has a shallow end particularly convenient for young children.

The indoor pool is superb at 28C  and 13m x 3 m  1.1-1.5m deep. With a bar it is the perfect place to entertain.  It has its own log burner (for cooler evenings) a fridge freezer, music system and shower room.  The bar is well stocked and you are requested to make a note of what you take from it.

Extra Details:

Casa Palmero is located in the countryside outside of Gaucin, 5 km from the village.  A car is recommend when booking this villa.   Access to the house is along a private track and parking is available on the grounds.  The village of Gaucin has traditional tapas bars and delightful restaurants.  There are also plenty of shops to be found along the narrow streets with local produce, plus larger general stores and a pharmacy.

Gaucin is perfectly situated in the Andalucian Mountains to enjoy both the cultural and historic cities and the buzz and glamour of the coastal towns.  The mountains provide a sense of peace with wonderful walks, horse riding and many other cultural activities and art filled pleasures.  The coast being so close also allows you to explore and have some fun on the water, take your pick of many Golf courses or indulge in the boutiques and nightlife.

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you must inform Jampot Villas by telephone and by email. Your cancellation will be confirmed upon receipt of email. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details. We do advise that you purchase suitable personal and travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation due to ill health or force majeure. Certain properties require a Damage Deposit, the amount is outlined on the individual properties pages. Details will be confirmed upon booking.
Booking Policy: 30% deposit will be required on booking. Final 70% must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival. If your holiday commences in less than 8 weeks or if the total value of your booking is less than £200.00 / €250.00 full payment will be due when you book. Once your reservation deposit has been received Jampot Villas will send you a booking confirmation which confirms the contract between you and the owners of the house.
