Casa Comino is a beautiful and quirky townhouse centrally located in the village of Gaucin. The owner has kept the typical Spanish style of the house and enhanced its stunning features with rag painted walls, wonderful ornaments and stone features. Colour fills each room with unique possessions, striking fabrics and Moroccan rugs. There is also a remarkable collection of artwork displayed throughout the house, books to read and endless intriguing items to admire. All these come together to create a delightful and joyful house. The outside area is wonderfully calming with flowers and greenery surrounding the modest pool. Steps lead upwards around the outside of the house onto a powerful terrace overlooking the roof tops of a large part of the village and the mountains beyond. The house has all you need for your holiday including unlimited wifi, a Sonos sound system and panel radiators in each room for the chilly months.
Two delightful living areas are there for you to relax in, one with a view and the other maybe to snuggle up with a book or simply to enjoy your quiet time in this house. The main living area is on the ground floor, with two comfortable sofas, open fireplace and plenty of quirky ornament s and colour. There is also a television for watching DVD’s. Steps lead down from here into a hallway where the garden can be accessed. The second living area is on the first floor with a galley balcony looking down into the hallway and an open fireplace. There are large windows around the corner of the room allowing you to admire the fabulous views, or take a step out through the french doors and out to the terrace.
Kitchen / Dining Area
This is a happy and snug room, creating a cottage feel with a wood burner, beamed ceilings and an antique cabinet. There is a large wooden dining table which seats six with typical Spanish cemented seating benches covered in colourful cushions. The kitchen has all you need and is well stocked with plenty of utensils and interesting crockery. All the essential appliances are there, including a electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The windows are painted with a calming egg shell blue and there are french windows taking you directly into the courtyard garden and pool area.
The master bedroom is found up a narrow staircase with Spanish tiles and wooden features. The bedroom has a large double bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, double basin and toilet. The room is beautifully decorated and spacious. French doors lead out onto a small balcony which joins the outside steps that cascade down the front of the house and up to the large terrace where the views can be admired.
The other two bedrooms are on the ground floor leading off from the hallway. First the double room with en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. This is a comfortable room with a street view. The next room leading off from the hallway is the twin room. This is also an ample size room with an en-suite with shower, basin and toilet. There are cupboards in all rooms and the colourful textures create a friendly and warm atmosphere.
The outside courtyard garden is a generous size for a village house. There is a seating area with wisteria and jasmine growing over a pergola creating a shaded and tranquil area. There are fruit trees, roses and many other lovely plants, these, together with the brick walls, all add to the character of the outside. The private pool, slightly larger than a plunge pool is a great joy on a hot summer’s day. Sip your glass of champagne and dip in and out of this lovely water. The top terrace reached by the outside steps has fabulous view to Africa. There are six sunbeds in the house.
Off the courtyard and pool area there is also an additional small room. This is outside the main house but perfect for an extra quest or nanny. It has a bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. The room can sleep two people but please note that there is an extra supplement of £60.00 per person per week for this room.

Casa Comino is located in the centre of Gaucin. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance. There are also plenty of shops with local produce, larger general stores and a pharmacy. There is street parking near the house and if you are lucky just by the front door. Gaucin itself is perfectly situated in the Andalucian Mountains to enjoy both the cultural and historic cities and the buzz and glamour of the coastal towns. The mountains provide a sense of peace with wonderful walks, horse riding and many other cultural activities and art filled pleasures. The coast being so close also allows you to explore and have some fun on the water, take your pick of many Golf courses or indulge in the boutiques and nightlife.

Minimum stay 4 nights at £550.00 sleeping 2 people, £650.00 sleeping 3-6 people.
Changeover day is a Saturday, although this is flexible out of high season, please enquire.
The property must be vacated by 11.00am and arrival time is 4.oopm

During winter months the price indicated does not include logs for the fireplaces. These can be paid for locally upon arrival.
All linen is provided. A change of linen is provided on rentals of over 1 week.
The house will be cleaned prior to arrival but if you require additional housekeeping please ask and we can arrange this for you.
Booking Policy:30% deposit will be required on booking.
Final 70% must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival. If your holiday commences in less than 8 weeks or if the total value of your booking is less than £200.00 / €250.00 full payment will be due when you book.
Once your reservation deposit has been received Jampot Villas will send you a booking confirmation which confirms the contract between you and the owners of the house. If we do not receive the balance by the date outlined (8 weeks prior to arrival), we reserve the right to cancel your booking and levy the cancellation charges that are set out in the ‘Cancellation Policy’.
If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you must inform Jampot Villas by telephone and by email. Your cancellation will be confirmed upon receipt of email. If receipt of cancellation is received more than 8 weeks prior to the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit. If received within 8 to 2 weeks before the start of your rental date you will forfeit your deposit plus 40% of the total rental price will be charged. If received within 2 weeks before the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit plus the remainder 70% will be charged (the full amount is payable).
In the unlikely case that JamPot Villas has to cancel a booking we will notify you immediately and try to offer an alternative. In case of non-acceptance of the alternative by the renter, JamPot Villas will reimburse the renter all payments made and the renter loses any rights other than the reimbursement of payments made.
We do advise that you purchase suitable personal and travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation due to ill health or force majeure.
Certain properties require a Damage Deposit, the amount (outlined on the individual properties) will be due in cash upon arrival and returned on your departure day after inspection of the property. Should any breakage or damage occur during your stay you must inform the house manager and Jampot Villas immediately.
