A luxurious Spanish Cortijo tucked into the hillside just four kilometres from the picturesque village of Gaucin. This impressive villa has spectacular views with plenty of land, gardens and an inviting deep blue pool. An extensive terrace runs along the house with plenty of shade and areas to relax. The villa is built incredibly well and the owners have given it a classical style with a hint of modern creating a very desirable place to stay. There is a beautiful wooden kitchen, overly stocked and all the bedrooms and living areas are comfortable with clean crisp designs and furnishings. The location is outstanding, overlooking La Sierra Crestalina and completely private. This is a superb holiday villa, ideal for a family, group or even a couple looking to treat themselves.

Living Area

As you walk through the traditional Andalucian doors there is a small hallway leading you through to the light and airy living space. The sitting area has an open fireplace, leather sofas and large French windows taking full advantage of the views. These lead directly to the main terrace that stretches the length of the house. There is satellite television and a stereo system. You can also enjoy the air conditioning, central heating and wifi.

Kitchen / Dining Area

The living space runs into the dining and kitchen area creating a spacious open plan room. There is a large wooden dining table seating eight with a well stocked kitchen full of appliances including two ovens, two fridge/freezers, two dishwashers, two sinks, five ring electric hob and a microwave. This kitchen is a chef’s dream! Doors and windows surround the room making it bright and airy. These again lead to the main terrace and is privileged with views.
There is also a utility with a washing machine.

Bedrooms

Three of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor including the master bedroom which has a four poster bed and en-suite bathroom. The bathroom is divine with large windows sweeping around the bath, a wonderful way to bathe, while admiring the countryside! There are two basins and walk in shower. The other two bedrooms are twin rooms and share a bathroom with bath, shower and double basin. The fourth bedroom is located up a level from the living area and has a shower and basin. All of the bedrooms are comfortable and fresh with tasteful furnishings.

Outside Area

The outside is fabulous with plenty of space, garden areas, terraces, mature trees and spectacular views. The main terrace extends the length of the villa with both sunny and shaded area. There is a dining table for al fresco dining and cosy outdoor sofas to relax and a barbeque to enjoy the outdoor life! This is a great terrace taking full advantage of the views. To the end of the terrace, steps lead down to the pool which is approximately 10 x 5m. There are sun beds to enjoy and plenty of lawn areas for children to play and run!

Casa Sol is located in the countryside, a five minute drive from the village of Gaucin.  A car is recommend when booking this villa.   Access to the house is along a private track and parking is available on the grounds.  The village of Gaucin has traditional tapas bars and delightful restaurants.  There are also plenty of shops to be found along the narrow streets with local produce, plus larger general stores and a pharmacy.  

Gaucin is perfectly situated in the Andalucian Mountains to enjoy both the cultural and historic cities and the buzz and glamour of the coastal towns.  The mountains provide a sense of peace with wonderful walks, horse riding and many other cultural activities and art filled pleasures.  The coast being so close also allows you to explore and have some fun on the water, take your pick of many Golf courses or indulge in the boutiques and nightlife.  For more details on Gaucin and the surrounding areas please see the JamPot Villas Explore page or feel free to email.

Travel

Travelling to Gaucin

We recommend you fly into Malaga, approximately 115 km from Gaucin or Gibraltar (a little closer) approximately 58 km .  Check out skyscanner  to compare prices.  You can even fly to Jerez or Seville.  

We do recommend hiring a car while you are out here, the journey from either airport is not hard.  You can take in some of the breathtaking scenery on the way to Gaucin and the Andalucian Mountains.  

Travelling from Malaga and need a car?  Check out Sixt Car Rental.. Travelling from Gibraltar airport?  Walking across the border to Spain is quick and easy and takes you to the town of La Linea.  For car hire check out, Europcar   la Linea.

Prices, Booking and Cancellation Policies

Changeover day is a Saturday but can be flexible in low season.  Please enquire.
Arrival time is 3pm and departure 11am unless previously arranged with JamPot Villas.
All linen and towels are provided, including pool towels.
A weekly change of linen and towels is provided for rentals over one week.
The gardens and pool are maintained regularly.
The air conditioning and central heating is on a metering system and is to be paid in Euros before departure.
Logs will be inlcuded in the rental price for cooler months.

Please note, a damage deposit of £300 in cash  is required upon your arrival and returned upon departure should there be no damage to the property.


Booking Policy:

30% deposit will be required on booking.
Final 70% must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival.  If your holiday commences in less than 8 weeks or if the total value of your booking is less than £200.00 / €250.00 full payment will be due when you book.

Once your reservation deposit has been received Jampot Villas will send you a booking confirmation which confirms the contract between you and the owners of the house.  If we do not receive the balance by the date outlined (8 weeks prior to arrival), we reserve the right to cancel your booking and levy the cancellation charges that are set out in the 'Cancellation Policy'.


Cancellation Policy:

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you must inform Jampot Villas by telephone and by email.  Your cancellation will be confirmed upon receipt of email.  If receipt of cancellation is received more than 8 weeks prior to the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit.  If received within 8 to 2 weeks before the start of your rental date you will forfeit your deposit plus 40% of the total rental price will be charged.  If received within 2 weeks before the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit plus the remainder 70% will be charged (the full amount is payable).

In the unlikely case that JamPot Villas has to cancel a booking we will notify you immediately and try to offer an alternative. In case of non-acceptance of the alternative by the renter, JamPot Villas will reimburse the renter all payments made and the renter loses any rights other than the reimbursement of payments made.

We do advise that you purchase suitable personal and travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation due to ill health or force majeure.  


Damage Deposits:

Certain properties require a Damage Deposit, the amount (outlined on the individual properties) will be due in cash upon arrival and returned on your departure day after inspection of the property. Should any breakage or damage occur during your stay you must inform the house manager and Jampot Villas immediately.
