Casa Pera sits in spacious wild grounds with beautiful views.  The surroundings are peaceful with fields and rugged landscape stretching into the distance.  Inside the design is typically Spanish, the walls and floors built with beautiful stone, bricks and terracotta flooring.  The bedrooms are basic yet comfortable and the kitchen is a fantastic size with plenty of cooking and dining space.  The upstairs room enjoys a hidden terrace overlooking the fabulous views, a quiet place to hide!  The pool area is a wonderful sun trap with a shaded bar area, sunbeds and brick barbeque.

The house is located 3 km outside of Gaucin along a country track, you will be met by the house manager who will guide you to the property.  There is plenty of parking here and we recommend when hiring a car that it be suitable for use on an unmade road (although well maintained).    This is a fantastic house for an adventure into the countryside of Andalucia and perfect for a group of friends or a large family. 

Kitchen / Dining

The kitchen is a very generous size with two large dining tables.  It has a gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, electric oven, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and a large fridge with a generous freezer.  There are plenty of cooking utensils, crockery and all you will need to cook at home on your holiday!  A large double door provides direct access to the outdoor dining table and to the rest of the outdoor areas.

Living room

The living room is accessed from the kitchen and has a lovely large sofa, some occasional chairs, a wood burner, a small table and television (limited channels available).   There is unlimited wifi, please bring your own devices for some music.

Bedrooms

The main bedroom leads off from the kitchen and has a double bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin, bidet and wc.

The second and third bedrooms are both accessed from the other side of the living room.

One of the rooms has a double bed and other has twin beds.  They share a bathroom which has a bath, basin wc and bidet.

Up a flight of stairs from the living room is a large bedroom with three single beds.  This room would suit teenagers and has its own small roof terrace with chairs and a table.  Please note, this room does not have its own bathroom.

Outside areas

Outside of the doors leading from the kitchen there is a wonderful dining area.  Totally shaded where you can gather around the old Spanish table for a feast sitting up to ten people.

Just around the corner from here is the pool, totally secluded and surrounded by sunbeds and various small tables to allow you to take a quick beer or gin and tonic as and when you feel like it.  At the far end of the pool there is a shaded bar area with a drinks fridge, gas BBQ and a double sink.  This whole area is surrounded by lovely potted flowers and campo greenery.

The pool itself measure 6.5m x 3.5m and 1.5m deep.

Here you will also find an annex building used as a utility room with the washing machine and sink.

Extra Details

Casa Pera is located in the countryside outside of Gaucin, therefore we do recommend you hire a car during your stay.   Access to the house is along a private track, approximately 3 km from Gaucin.  The house manager will meet you in the village upon your arrival and show you the way.  Gaucin has traditional tapas bars and delightful restaurants.  There are also plenty of shops to be found along the narrow streets with local produce, plus larger general stores and a pharmacy.  

Gaucin is perfectly situated in the Andalucian Mountains to enjoy both the cultural and historic cities and the buzz and glamour of the coastal towns.  The mountains provide a sense of peace with wonderful walks, horse riding and many other cultural activities and art filled pleasures.  The coast being so close also allows you to explore and have some fun on the water, take your pick of many Golf courses or indulge in the boutiques and nightlife.  For more details on Gaucin and the surrounding areas please see the JamPot Villas Explore page or feel free to email.

Travel

Travelling to Gaucin

We recommend you fly into Malaga, approximately 115 km from Gaucin or Gibraltar (a little closer) approximately 58 km .  Check out skyscanner  to compare prices.  You can even fly to Jerez or Seville.  

We do recommend hiring a car while you are out here, the journey from either airport is not hard.  You can take in some of the breathtaking scenery on the way to Gaucin and the Andalucian Mountains.  

Travelling from Malaga and need a car?  Check out Sixt Car Rental.. Travelling from Gibraltar airport?  Walking across the border to Spain is quick and easy and takes you to the town of La Linea.  For car hire check out, Europcar   la Linea.

Prices, Booking and Cancellation Policies

Changeover day is on a Friday.
The property must be vacated by 11 am and arrival is 4 pm.
All linen is provided including pool towels.  Change of linen is provided on rentals of over one week.
The property is for rent between June and October at a minimum stay of 1 week.


Booking Policy:

30% deposit will be required on booking.
Final 70% must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival.  If your holiday commences in less than 8 weeks or if the total value of your booking is less than £200.00 / €250.00 full payment will be due when you book.

Once your reservation deposit has been received Jampot Villas will send you a booking confirmation which confirms the contract between you and the owners of the house.  If we do not receive the balance by the date outlined (8 weeks prior to arrival), we reserve the right to cancel your booking and levy the cancellation charges that are set out in the 'Cancellation Policy'.


Cancellation Policy:

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you must inform Jampot Villas by telephone and by email.  Your cancellation will be confirmed upon receipt of email.  If receipt of cancellation is received more than 8 weeks prior to the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit.  If received within 8 to 2 weeks before the start of your rental date you will forfeit your deposit plus 40% of the total rental price will be charged.  If received within 2 weeks before the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit plus the remainder 70% will be charged (the full amount is payable).

In the unlikely case that JamPot Villas has to cancel a booking we will notify you immediately and try to offer an alternative. In case of non-acceptance of the alternative by the renter, JamPot Villas will reimburse the renter all payments made and the renter loses any rights other than the reimbursement of payments made.

We do advise that you purchase suitable personal and travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation due to ill health or force majeure.  


Damage Deposits:

Certain properties require a Damage Deposit, the amount (outlined on the individual properties) will be due in cash upon arrival and returned on your departure day after inspection of the property. Should any breakage or damage occur during your stay you must inform the house manager and Jampot Villas immediately.
