Casa Almendra was built in a stunning mountain setting in a traditional Spanish style with spacious rooms.  The delightful pool area has a small bar, plenty of sun and a covered seating area for al fresco dining, all filled with potted plants and mature trees.  Inside the villa there is all you need.  With central heating and two log fires, this villa is also a wonderful villa for a winter holiday.  The views from both the house and the pool area are simply magical and take in the nearby castle, mountains and distant sea with Gibraltar and Africa visable on a clear day.

From Gaucin, you can reach the villa by car, just a five minute drive, or take a twenty five minute country walk along the track and admire the surroundings.

Living Area

The main living area has a cosy feel about it with a log fire and plenty of comfortable seating.  There is also satellite/cable TV available and wifi (also throughout the villa). Leading from this main room there is an additional dining room together with a relaxing area.  The full glass windows allow for a truly stunning view.  Dine in this fabulous room at the table seating up to eight or simply unwind in the armchairs. 

Kitchen

There is ample space in the Kitchen with a large island and dining table to seat six.  Once again, the views can be admired.  The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils and dishes you will need, including a dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave and toaster.  In addition there is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, all housed in a separate building.

Bedrooms

All three bedrooms are located on the first floor with French doors leading to a connecting terrace and views across this incredible landscape.  The master bedroom is separate from the additional two, with an extra large double bed, plenty of cupboard space and an en-suite bathroom with double basin, walk in shower and bath.  The second bedroom has a large double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower.  The third has twin beds also with en-suite bathroom.  Apart from the three bathrooms associated with the bedrooms, there is also a small downstairs rest room.

Outside Area

A delightful outdoor area with plenty of sun beds and shade.  There is a small bar area with a sink and fridge as well as a small covered dining space.  The swimming pool is an ample size with beautiful coloured tiling.  There is also a barbeque for you to enjoy!

Extra Details:

This villa is Located in the countryside.  A car is recommended, particularly if you are looking to explore the area, but not essential as it is possible to walk into the village of Gaucin in twenty five minutes.  Gaucin itself is perfectly situated in the Andalucian Mountains to enjoy both the cultural and historic cities and the buzz and glamour of the coastal towns.  The mountains provide a sense of peace with wonderful walks, horse riding and many other cultural activities and art filled pleasures.  The coast being so close also allows you to explore and have some fun on the water, take your pick of many golf courses or indulge in the boutiques and nightlife. For details on Gaucin and the surrounding areas please see the JamPot Villas Explore page.

Travel

Travelling to Gaucin

We recommend you fly into Malaga, approximately 115 km from Gaucin or Gibraltar (a little closer) approximately 58 km .  Check out skyscanner  to compare prices.  You can even fly to Jerez or Seville.  

We do recommend hiring a car while you are out here, the journey from either airport is not hard.  You can take in some of the breathtaking scenery on the way to Gaucin and the Andalucian Mountains.  

Travelling from Malaga and need a car?  Check out Sixt Car Rental.. Travelling from Gibraltar airport?  Walking across the border to Spain is quick and easy and takes you to the town of La Linea.  For car hire check out, Europcar   la Linea.

Prices, Booking and Cancellation Policies

Changeover day is on a Saturday, although may be flexible outside of July and August, please enquire.
The property must be vacated by 10am.      
Arrival is at 4pm unless previously agreed with agent.
Minimum stay of 1 week.
All linen is provided including pool towels.  Linen change will be provided on rentals of more than one week.
For winter rentals, heating is not included in the above price.  Please enquire.
Duvets will be provided for winter lets.
No smoking policy inside the villa.


Booking Policy:

30% deposit will be required on booking.
Final 70% must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival.  If your holiday commences in less than 8 weeks or if the total value of your booking is less than £200.00 / €250.00 full payment will be due when you book.

Once your reservation deposit has been received Jampot Villas will send you a booking confirmation which confirms the contract between you and the owners of the house.  If we do not receive the balance by the date outlined (8 weeks prior to arrival), we reserve the right to cancel your booking and levy the cancellation charges that are set out in the 'Cancellation Policy'.


Cancellation Policy:

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you must inform Jampot Villas by telephone and by email.  Your cancellation will be confirmed upon receipt of email.  If receipt of cancellation is received more than 8 weeks prior to the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit.  If received within 8 to 2 weeks before the start of your rental date you will forfeit your deposit plus 40% of the total rental price will be charged.  If received within 2 weeks before the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit plus the remainder 70% will be charged (the full amount is payable).

In the unlikely case that JamPot Villas has to cancel a booking we will notify you immediately and try to offer an alternative. In case of non-acceptance of the alternative by the renter, JamPot Villas will reimburse the renter all payments made and the renter loses any rights other than the reimbursement of payments made.

We do advise that you purchase suitable personal and travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation due to ill health or force majeure.  


Damage Deposits:

Certain properties require a Damage Deposit, the amount (outlined on the individual properties) will be due in cash upon arrival and returned on your departure day after inspection of the property. Should any breakage or damage occur during your stay you must inform the house manager and Jampot Villas immediately.
