This penthouse apartment sits in probably one of the best locations in Sotogrande - on the absolute corner of where the river Genal flows gently into the Mediterranean. The views give directly over the sea and to the beach below.  The views are stunning, stretching along the coast line of Southern Spain and over to Gibraltar and Africa.  Inside, Casa Orca is calming and gracious.  This is a perfect holiday home for two but there is a smaller second bedroom that can sleep two. Immediate facilities include the Cucuracha beach club, directly below, a tennis club, various beach chiringuitos, the yacht club, a convenience store and various other small shops.  A little further, but still within walking distance is the Santa Maria Polo club and the buzzing port of Sotogrande.  

Living Area

The living area is a wonderful spacious and bright open space with sliding glass windows giving directly  onto the terraces, allowing you to admire the blue sea and skies.    There is also a small dining area to seat four with large windows in front.  Numerous novels and intriguing books can be found on the shelves for you to browse through with care.  You can breathe in the sea air from inside this breezy and light filled room.  There is a large comfortable sofa, satellite television and wifi.


The modern compact kitchen with plenty of work surface has a large fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven and 5 ring ceramic hob, a coffee machine and a dishwasher.


The master bedroom has twin beds with French windows leading out to another terrace, once again with fabulous views.  There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower and basin. 

The second bedroom is a single room but can sleep two with a pull out comfortable bed that sits underneath the main bed, but please enquire.  This also has an en-suite bathroom with bath, over head shower and basin.

Outside Area

The large terrace sweeps around the front of the penthouse with built in seating areas and a shaded area with a large table for al fresco dining.  A more open space is just around the corner where you can enjoy some sunbathing on the loungers.

Casa Orca  is located in the Marina of Sotogrande.  There are bars, restaurants, beaches and all ammenities within walking distance.  There are plenty of local shops; fresh bakeries, convenience stores, ice cream parlours and there are larger supermarkets a short drive away.  Sotogrande also offers many local activities for you to enjoy, including Polo events, local famous golf courses, sailing, water sports, tennis and childrens activities.  Sotogrande is perfectly situated in Southern Andalucia to enjoy  both the cultural and historic cities, the buzz and glamour of the coastal towns along the costa del sol and the beautiful golden sand beaches along the costa de la luz. Travelling to Sotogrande

We recommend you fly into Gibraltar or Malaga.  Gibraltar is a short distance, only 30 km to Sotogrande.  Hiring a taxi is simple and inexpensive from the border of Gibraltar, alternatively there are many car hire places across the border.  Malaga is approximately 106 km from Sotogrande.  Check out skyscanner  to compare prices.  You can even fly to Jerez or Seville. 

We do recommend hiring a car while you are out here, the journey from either airport is not hard.  You can take in some of the breathtaking scenery on the way to Gaucin and the Andalucian Mountains.  

Travelling from Malaga and need a car?  Check out Sixt Car Rental.. Travelling from Gibraltar airport?  Walking across the border to Spain is quick and easy and takes you to the town of La Linea.  For car hire check out, Europcar   la Linea.

Prices, Booking and Cancellation Policies

Price Per Week

This property is only rented out in the month of August and a minimum of 4 weeks.

August 4 week booking                               £6,500.00

Please note, the Arrival and departure day is flexible.
  • A change of linen will be provided on a weekly basis.
  • Arrival time is 4pm and the property must be vacated by 11am unless previously agreed with JamPot Villas.
  • Bathroom towels (excluding pool towels) are provided.

Booking Policy:

30% deposit will be required on booking.
Final 70% must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival.  If your holiday commences in less than 8 weeks or if the total value of your booking is less than £200.00 / €250.00 full payment will be due when you book.

Once your reservation deposit has been received Jampot Villas will send you a booking confirmation which confirms the contract between you and the owners of the house.  If we do not receive the balance by the date outlined (8 weeks prior to arrival), we reserve the right to cancel your booking and levy the cancellation charges that are set out in the 'Cancellation Policy'.

Cancellation Policy:

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you must inform Jampot Villas by telephone and by email.  Your cancellation will be confirmed upon receipt of email.  If receipt of cancellation is received more than 8 weeks prior to the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit.  If received within 8 to 2 weeks before the start of your rental date you will forfeit your deposit plus 40% of the total rental price will be charged.  If received within 2 weeks before the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit plus the remainder 70% will be charged (the full amount is payable).

In the unlikely case that JamPot Villas has to cancel a booking we will notify you immediately and try to offer an alternative. In case of non-acceptance of the alternative by the renter, JamPot Villas will reimburse the renter all payments made and the renter loses any rights other than the reimbursement of payments made.

We do advise that you purchase suitable personal and travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation due to ill health or force majeure.  

Damage Deposits:

Certain properties require a Damage Deposit, the amount (outlined on the individual properties) will be due in cash upon arrival and returned on your departure day after inspection of the property. Should any breakage or damage occur during your stay you must inform the house manager and Jampot Villas immediately.
