Along a track cutting through the Spanish countryside is this contemporary villa, beaming in its delightful surroundings. As you reach the house from the driveway and through a peaceful courtyard there are some grand Spanish wooden doors, setting the scene for this beautifully built villa with a hint of classic Spanish features. The tall ceilings show off the wooden beams and the many windows that reach to the top of the main room allow you to admire these precious views. The features include wide arched doorways, terracotta tiled flooring and spacious halls that lead you from one room to another. The private pool has an infinity edge and overlooks the cork forest and across to the Mediterranean sea and Morocco. This is a wonderful place to relax and unwind with plenty of walks through the deep secluded mountains right on your doorstep. Walking into the village of Gaucin is possible but may take you around 25 minutes along the track.
Living / Dining / Kitchen Area
This large open plan space is the heart of this family home. The kitchen and dining space is at entrance level with a large island in the centre and plenty of hard wooden surface tops to prepare a feast. The kitchen includes a double oven and gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge freezer. There is also a utility room next to the kitchen with a washing machine and dryer, plus a small cloakroom. A beautiful hardy wooden table is in front of the kitchen area, seating up to eight.
Continuing through this splendid open plan space, are a couple of steps that take you down a level to the living area. The light bounces around the room as it streams through the large windows that surround the walls. There are two leather sofas, a large soft lounger that crosses the back wall of the room, looking out over the lap pool that has been built along the side of the house. There is also a modern open fireplace. French doors either side of the room give more light and lead directly out on to the terraced pool area.
There is also an integrated multi-room music/radio system which is easily connected to Apple i-phone and i-pod players.
The master bedroom, towards the far end of the house, has large French windows that lead to a private terrace overlooking the views across the mountains. There is a king size double bed, dressing area and en-suite bathroom with walk in shower and bath.
Below there is another double bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom with walk in shower. This is also used as a studio which has a library, satellite television and radio, study desk and a large sofa. Also with large French doors that lead out into the grounds.
At the other side of the house is the twin room with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with walk in shower room. There is also a table football for a little entertainment.
The final bedroom is accessed through a courtyard leading from the living area. This has a double bed and en-suite with shower room and a private terrace looking out through the mass of trees and lush landscapes.
The house is surrounded by the rustic yet beautiful grounds and landscape. This is a real mountainside location and if full of mature trees, shrubs and flowers. There is also a vegetable and herb garden which you might like to enjoy the use of. You can explore and wander for miles. The main outside area is accessed through the open plan living and kitchen area. There is a patio area with a gas barbeque, shaded seating for al fresco dining and loungers for sunbathing by the pool. The delightful infinity pool is sparkling blue and has the most incredible views across the mountain side and up to the castle in Gaucin. The pool also cascades around one side of the house providing a 20 metre lap pool – an intriguing design. The bedrooms all have private terraces if you need a little quiet time away from the centre of this house.

Please note, this villa is built on a hillside and has short flights of stairs which would restrict wheelchair access.
A cot and highchair is available in the house, although child friendly please be aware of steps and swimming pool risks.
Casa Clavos is Located in the countryside. A car is recommended, particularly if you are looking to explore the area, although if you prefer to be surrounded by nature it is possible to walk into the village of Gaucin in approximately 25 minutes. Please note this is a country track, sturdy shoes are recommended. Gaucin itself is perfectly situated in the Andalucian Mountains to enjoy both the cultural and historic cities and the buzz and glamour of the coastal towns. The mountains provide a sense of peace with wonderful walks, horse riding and many other cultural activities and art filled pleasures. The coast being so close also allows you to explore and have some fun on the water, take your pick of many golf courses or indulge in the boutiques and nightlife.
Price Per Week
This property can be rented all year round.
Changeover day is on a Saturday, although can be negotiable out of high season. Please enquire.
The property must be vacated by 10am and arrival is at 4pm unless previously agreed with agent.
Minimum stay of 1 week.
All linen is provided including beach towels.
For winter letting logs should be paid for locally (€85 per load). Use of the central heating is included in the price.
30% deposit will be required on booking.
Final 70% must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to arrival. If your holiday commences in less than 8 weeks or if the total value of your booking is less than £200.00 / €250.00 full payment will be due when you book.
Once your reservation deposit has been received Jampot Villas will send you a booking confirmation which confirms the contract between you and the owners of the house. If we do not receive the balance by the date outlined (8 weeks prior to arrival), we reserve the right to cancel your booking and levy the cancellation charges that are set out in the ‘Cancellation Policy’.
If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, you must inform Jampot Villas by telephone and by email. Your cancellation will be confirmed upon receipt of email. If receipt of cancellation is received more than 8 weeks prior to the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit. If received within 8 to 2 weeks before the start of your rental date you will forfeit your deposit plus 40% of the total rental price will be charged. If received within 2 weeks before the start of your rental date then you will forfeit your deposit plus the remainder 70% will be charged (the full amount is payable).
In the unlikely case that JamPot Villas has to cancel a booking we will notify you immediately and try to offer an alternative. In case of non-acceptance of the alternative by the renter, JamPot Villas will reimburse the renter all payments made and the renter loses any rights other than the reimbursement of payments made.
We do advise that you purchase suitable personal and travel insurance to cover the risk of cancellation due to ill health or force majeure.
Certain properties require a Damage Deposit, the amount (outlined on the individual properties) will be due in cash upon arrival and returned on your departure day after inspection of the property. Should any breakage or damage occur during your stay you must inform the house manager and Jampot Villas immediately.
